<br />
We spent an amazing weekend by the banks of Lough Derg in Co Clare. The sun shone and we kind of fell in love with this place.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-gbj8ZA4bkY8/T-IT2-FWVeI/AAAAAAAAFyU/kEMrV80LooU/s1600/2012-06-09-390.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="358" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-gbj8ZA4bkY8/T-IT2-FWVeI/AAAAAAAAFyU/kEMrV80LooU/s640/2012-06-09-390.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
We stopped at a beautiful little town called Mountshannon, there was a cute little Marina there filled with fancy yachts.<br />
<br />
<br />

One of my next favorite things to collect, after patterns and fabric, is yummy vintage tea-sets, and dinner sets.<br />
See below for some examples.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nLRQ2gmu8OU/T1CsG-mZ6uI/AAAAAAAAFsg/3FRqyJh78XY/s1600/2012-03-02-067.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="494" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nLRQ2gmu8OU/T1CsG-mZ6uI/AAAAAAAAFsg/3FRqyJh78XY/s640/2012-03-02-067.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>

<br />
<br />
This set includes 6 saucers, side plates, sugar bowl.and milk jug. As you can see from above, the name suits the picture. The picture includes a man in a red jacket, presumably The Hunter.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
The above is another gorgeous Arklow pottery set of 6 cups, saucers and plates. This pattern has a 60's vibe to it, with its white background and red, orange and blue little flowers.<br />

I love this Wedgwood dinner plate with the gold gilding. This belongs to a set of 12.<br />
<br />
Tomorrow I will be selling these sets and more her in the fabulous <a href="http://www.thegrandsocial.ie/event/hapenny-flea-indoor-market">Halpenny Flea</a> along the Quays in Dublin. Come along and grab yourself a bargain, there will be lots of other goodies there too.</div>Emerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15593168106163100830noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8912196534936651206.post-89251160550424007162012-02-21T02:55:00.000-08:002012-02-21T02:55:43.978-08:00Vintage For Girls<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
I've been sewing a lot lately, and today was the first good day to take pictures in my garden. I found this lovely vintage pattern , and all my supplies for this dress at the <a href="http://dublinflea.ie/">Dublin flea market</a>.<br />
<br />
First off the pattern. Its a pretty demure little dress which looks like its dated from the early 60's.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-x6OSqad6K0w/TykX1HGzL6I/AAAAAAAAFm8/YnhAtoSu2E4/s1600/010220121025.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-x6OSqad6K0w/TykX1HGzL6I/AAAAAAAAFm8/YnhAtoSu2E4/s640/010220121025.jpg" width="422" /></a></div>
<br />
All of the pieces were un-marked, which was a bit of a bummer. You just have to read the guide on the pattern to figure out whats what.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vXGrdJUBYtY/TykVyb0j4LI/AAAAAAAAFmY/WZhuWFeLjaw/s1600/010220121021.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="358" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vXGrdJUBYtY/TykVyb0j4LI/AAAAAAAAFmY/WZhuWFeLjaw/s640/010220121021.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I used a piece of red crepe fabric, well I think its crepe. It didnt iron very well at all. But hey I got like 2 metres for very little money.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1VjtLEw9jqw/T0NztGa3j2I/AAAAAAAAFpI/fE8a4X3uoHI/s1600/2012-02-21-046.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1VjtLEw9jqw/T0NztGa3j2I/AAAAAAAAFpI/fE8a4X3uoHI/s640/2012-02-21-046.jpg" width="358" /></a></div>
<br />
I added a cute little red and white ribbon that I found at the <a href="http://dublinflea.ie/">Flea</a> also. I hemmed the sleeves and the dress with the ribbon also. It looks cute when the hem shows with the addition of the ribbon. ignore the wonky stitching.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BOHSldYM3BM/T0NuZxTwaNI/AAAAAAAAFos/jgc0uyOgRPw/s1600/2012-02-21-044.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="358" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BOHSldYM3BM/T0NuZxTwaNI/AAAAAAAAFos/jgc0uyOgRPw/s640/2012-02-21-044.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Below is a shot of the back. Sadly my daughter did not want to model the dress, you know what 10 year olds are like.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PfM1QnKUY-0/T0Nz1Pk4xzI/AAAAAAAAFqA/4FF1P6HCpv4/s1600/2012-02-21-051.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PfM1QnKUY-0/T0Nz1Pk4xzI/AAAAAAAAFqA/4FF1P6HCpv4/s640/2012-02-21-051.jpg" width="406" /></a></div>
I hope she will wear it this Sunday...</div>Emerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15593168106163100830noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8912196534936651206.post-72533436248263785602012-01-15T11:39:00.000-08:002012-01-15T11:39:33.783-08:00Photos<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
I've been a very bad blogger. Happy Christmas and New Year. I guess I just lost my sewing mojo in the last few months. I have really missed blogging. I really will try to post more in future and especially of all my sewing adventures.<br />
<br />
But first I would love to post a picture of my three boys from way back when, probably 1994..<br />
They were getting ready to go on their Summer holidays, which was a trip
to Germany to see their Daddy. As you can see I just loved to dress them
all the same in matching outfits. Are'nt mothers cruel sometimes?<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7mvMFbHyqBs/TxMckc9s0II/AAAAAAAAFg4/d7EBiUEwfPw/s1600/15012012973.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7mvMFbHyqBs/TxMckc9s0II/AAAAAAAAFg4/d7EBiUEwfPw/s640/15012012973.jpg" width="608" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
And here is a picture of them now, Christmas 2011...<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wz_qJC10MCY/TxMfUC9_PdI/AAAAAAAAFg8/4piwGBvCu64/s1600/the+lads.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="392" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wz_qJC10MCY/TxMfUC9_PdI/AAAAAAAAFg8/4piwGBvCu64/s640/the+lads.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
They are in the same positions as in the older picture, which is fun. I'm amazed at how quickly the time has gone since they were running around the house ,and into everything, and generally causing havoc. Its so rare to get a picture of them all together. Happy Christmas Boys.<br />

My daughter really needed a new bag to take to her Irish dancing classes, and I thought that the <a href="http://www.rebekalambert.com/artsycrafty_babe/2009/06/the-people-have-spoken.html">Phoebe</a> Bag would be perfect. <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5PuBzYCVWNU/Tpbeu1-KXeI/AAAAAAAAFJI/sB0bl33xuW8/s1600/13102011676.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5PuBzYCVWNU/Tpbeu1-KXeI/AAAAAAAAFJI/sB0bl33xuW8/s640/13102011676.jpg" width="386" /></a></div>
<br />
The fabric I used is some vintage stuff I found on holidays, although I have a sneaking suspicion it might be Ikea. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kOfdX_n-6mI/TpbgIS3BcKI/AAAAAAAAFJQ/_w1EyggFnOc/s1600/13102011680.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kOfdX_n-6mI/TpbgIS3BcKI/AAAAAAAAFJQ/_w1EyggFnOc/s640/13102011680.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I used red gingham for the lining, and I like the contrast with the grey.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yr23XMJAldA/Tpbg-HCaQ6I/AAAAAAAAFJU/tfAMcg8EaGM/s1600/13102011685.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yr23XMJAldA/Tpbg-HCaQ6I/AAAAAAAAFJU/tfAMcg8EaGM/s640/13102011685.jpg" width="364" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The bag is just the right size for her "poms", water bottle, phone, and a little lip gloss.</div>

Yesterday, Sunday, I found some beauties. First a selection of Meakin plates.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qXDhydtg7Gk/TpK5Ud-C-YI/AAAAAAAAFCk/TrRiFBlmWFg/s1600/10102011638.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="372" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qXDhydtg7Gk/TpK5Ud-C-YI/AAAAAAAAFCk/TrRiFBlmWFg/s640/10102011638.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OWatYtBPTCs/TpK5PY4veBI/AAAAAAAAFCw/jONqml61ZE4/s1600/10102011639.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="546" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OWatYtBPTCs/TpK5PY4veBI/AAAAAAAAFCw/jONqml61ZE4/s640/10102011639.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8Zn5fQ2xqa0/TpK5uNAw3-I/AAAAAAAAFC4/_qM9yzAPEx4/s1600/10102011642.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8Zn5fQ2xqa0/TpK5uNAw3-I/AAAAAAAAFC4/_qM9yzAPEx4/s640/10102011642.jpg" width="640" /> </a> </div>
These are dated from the 1950's. The pattern is hand drawn so its a very delicate pattern.<br />
<br />
I also found some more traditional Myott dishes. Myott bought the Meakin company at some stage.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5UC5m0PiHU0/TpK6PePFGzI/AAAAAAAAFDI/0OpAFwP-WNo/s1600/10102011647.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="342" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5UC5m0PiHU0/TpK6PePFGzI/AAAAAAAAFDI/0OpAFwP-WNo/s640/10102011647.jpg" width="640" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I like the slightly grey colour on the edge of the plates, its not very evident from the pictures. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CNKYUenwVX8/TpK6lGrcSMI/AAAAAAAAFDM/LnNu5Orlx8Q/s1600/10102011648.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CNKYUenwVX8/TpK6lGrcSMI/AAAAAAAAFDM/LnNu5Orlx8Q/s640/10102011648.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZwR3l2VU6uU/TpK65bFQIeI/AAAAAAAAFDU/WIojqCGswX0/s1600/10102011651.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZwR3l2VU6uU/TpK65bFQIeI/AAAAAAAAFDU/WIojqCGswX0/s640/10102011651.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
And finally I found a full set of Denby pottery. This pattern is from the 1970's. And I have to say I love the retro vibe of it.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nDBBDiD5LhY/TpK7RV2qIlI/AAAAAAAAFDc/LYW73UyHAYk/s1600/10102011653.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nDBBDiD5LhY/TpK7RV2qIlI/AAAAAAAAFDc/LYW73UyHAYk/s640/10102011653.jpg" width="544" /></a></div>
<br />
The pattern has a nice orange glazed centre with brown rim.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--IYy8xt5dmw/TpK7bpmg7MI/AAAAAAAAFDg/Jlvqr-o8lpg/s1600/10102011654.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="472" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--IYy8xt5dmw/TpK7bpmg7MI/AAAAAAAAFDg/Jlvqr-o8lpg/s640/10102011654.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>

While on holidays this Summer, I came across these fabulous vintage patterns. Both by the name of Stil. They have instructions in both Finnish & Swedish, thankfully they have amazing detailed drawings of each step, cos I dont speak either Finnish or Swedish.<br />
<br />
The first pattern is a cute halterneck dress, which i will make for next Summer.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7ow3WoiUrWY/TmoKlf9npKI/AAAAAAAAE2A/Urq4452QItY/s1600/09092011493.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7ow3WoiUrWY/TmoKlf9npKI/AAAAAAAAE2A/Urq4452QItY/s640/09092011493.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
Its in my size and was only 50c, why I didnt buy more I dont know.<br />
<br />
The second pattern is for a really cute dress, that I plan to start very very soon.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-35GVeYFP1Ls/TmoKl_p3MUI/AAAAAAAAE18/fydovT8N8QI/s1600/09092011494.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-35GVeYFP1Ls/TmoKl_p3MUI/AAAAAAAAE18/fydovT8N8QI/s640/09092011494.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I especially like the neckline and view A.<br />
On that same trip I bought this gorgeous fabric for 2 euro. I have a sneaky feeling it might be rayon. Although I am not sure.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-69DLfGsH8U8/TmoLQAq3YVI/AAAAAAAAE2I/XddEkMsUrxk/s1600/09092011495.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-69DLfGsH8U8/TmoLQAq3YVI/AAAAAAAAE2I/XddEkMsUrxk/s640/09092011495.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
But before any of that sewing takes place I really need to sort out my garden, to say its a mess is an umderstatement!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Y60BjzGLmcc/TminfPNXJyI/AAAAAAAAE1g/Mj3E1Trw3n8/s1600/06092011489.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="448" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Y60BjzGLmcc/TminfPNXJyI/AAAAAAAAE1g/Mj3E1Trw3n8/s640/06092011489.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
No we didnt get hit with a hurricane, just digging up all the hedges that died after last winters snow. Will post some more sewing pictures soon.<br />
<br /></div>

The tutorial can be found <a href="http://littlebiggirlstudio.blogspot.com/2009/02/pillowcase-dress-tutorial-dress-girl.html">here</a>. They come together so quickly, the hardest part is if you decide to make your own bias binding.<br />

<br />
Day 4- Green<br />
<br />
Well its a picture of this weird plant that is slowly taking over my garden. Its very tropical looking I think...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9JU2LbwT4jU/Te0nQyvUAyI/AAAAAAAAEco/Imt90HDxiXA/s1600/DSCN2319.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9JU2LbwT4jU/Te0nQyvUAyI/AAAAAAAAEco/Imt90HDxiXA/s640/DSCN2319.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
Day 5- From a high angle<br />
<br />
This time its my coriander, its actually growing nicely and I love the taste and smell of it.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xORFww6S2U8/Te0jvTpwspI/AAAAAAAAEdg/zuyTEt3PLj8/s1600/DSCN2311.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="452" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xORFww6S2U8/Te0jvTpwspI/AAAAAAAAEdg/zuyTEt3PLj8/s640/DSCN2311.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
Day 6- From a low angle<br />
<br />
I thought it would be nice to take a picture from a dogs eye view. So this is how Mazy sees the world.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cZiFVgpQbrA/Te0o4R2LTII/AAAAAAAAEdA/ySszaCJwZZ0/s1600/DSCN2326.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cZiFVgpQbrA/Te0o4R2LTII/AAAAAAAAEdA/ySszaCJwZZ0/s640/DSCN2326.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
</div>Emerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15593168106163100830noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8912196534936651206.post-29802972686800716742011-06-03T09:08:00.000-07:002011-06-03T09:08:32.762-07:0030-Day Photo Challenge<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">Hi, I am taking part in a 30 day photo challenge over at White Peach Photography. You can find the details <a href="http://whitepeachphoto.com/2011/05/25/photography_challenge/">here</a>. Basically you take a picture every day for the month of June. There is a different theme for each day. Its already on Day 3 now, so I am combining the first 3 days.<br />
<br />
Here goes then Day 1- self portrait. I hate taking pictures of myself, this was taken in the garden in full sun. I like the shadow.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-i7RwDLWonuk/Tej8PidDq1I/AAAAAAAAEYg/zEors5xxjXk/s1600/DSCN2241.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-i7RwDLWonuk/Tej8PidDq1I/AAAAAAAAEYg/zEors5xxjXk/s640/DSCN2241.JPG" width="462" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
Day 2-What I wore today. Its a blouse I made using a vintage pattern and some yellow gingham ( a sheet) I had lying around. I lenghtened the top into a tunic, and I'm wearing my jeans again.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OrjRFSzE_k8/Tej-bgH_sCI/AAAAAAAAEYA/SIRuRbRTQmE/s1600/DSCN2248.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OrjRFSzE_k8/Tej-bgH_sCI/AAAAAAAAEYA/SIRuRbRTQmE/s640/DSCN2248.JPG" width="480" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Day 3- Clouds<br />
<br />
Believe it or not there are no clouds in the sky today, its a miracle. So I took a picture of these flowers in my garden. They kind of look cloud like with the sky in the background?<br />
<br />

And there is a Flickr group set up <a href="http://www.flickr.com/groups/1699719@N21/pool/with/5788159623/">here</a>. This is going to be fun. Hope I can do all 30 days.</div>Emerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15593168106163100830noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8912196534936651206.post-35120946564137690672011-05-06T05:18:00.000-07:002011-05-06T05:18:22.994-07:00New Tops<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">This week I made myself 2 Summer tops. Both from Burdastyle, the first is a pattern for a <a href="http://www.burdastyle.com/patterns/jane">cami</a> top. I used an Ikea duvet cover for this. Not crazy about the colour, but it was cheap!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Ml8d_e5Yw_I/TcPbHmEiesI/AAAAAAAAECI/assEL_ou_Io/s1600/DSCN2156.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="520" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Ml8d_e5Yw_I/TcPbHmEiesI/AAAAAAAAECI/assEL_ou_Io/s640/DSCN2156.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
I did not add the elastic under the bust cos I like it better to hang loose.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QoIVbWNMR6I/TcPbTxZ9XMI/AAAAAAAAECc/_1zpJdvn1hg/s1600/DSCN2160.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="638" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QoIVbWNMR6I/TcPbTxZ9XMI/AAAAAAAAECc/_1zpJdvn1hg/s640/DSCN2160.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
I like how it turned out, now we just need some more warm weather.<br />
<br />
The second top is this great free pattern from Burdastyle again, found <a href="http://www.burdastyle.com/patterns/1-piece-kimono-tee">here</a>. I love this pattern I love how it drapes.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Ig0OGNIST44/TcPYER_BdsI/AAAAAAAAEBs/UuWuXOG7B4A/s1600/DSCN2149.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="588" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Ig0OGNIST44/TcPYER_BdsI/AAAAAAAAEBs/UuWuXOG7B4A/s640/DSCN2149.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
I used a vintage sheet to make it, washed of course. And I also used fold over elastic for the neck line.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-d5DWJUTefe8/TcPYX1MNw-I/AAAAAAAAECA/7Kd4vR9Tta0/s1600/DSCN2154.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-d5DWJUTefe8/TcPYX1MNw-I/AAAAAAAAECA/7Kd4vR9Tta0/s640/DSCN2154.JPG" width="480" /></a></div><br />
I will definately be making more of this one, its such an easy shape to wear.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UYnF3GdRBT8/TcPYYh_NhxI/AAAAAAAAD_s/-iuhAOl_jXI/s1600/DSCN2155.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UYnF3GdRBT8/TcPYYh_NhxI/AAAAAAAAD_s/-iuhAOl_jXI/s640/DSCN2155.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<br />
Happy weekend.</div>Emerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15593168106163100830noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8912196534936651206.post-11693255516888225852011-04-17T07:30:00.000-07:002011-04-17T07:30:46.507-07:00Harem Pants<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">I love harem pants on kiddies, and I found a great pattern on Burdastyle on how to draft a pair for yourself or your little one. You can find the link <a href="http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/how-to-draft-and-sew-harem-pants-101">here</a>.<br />
<br />
I used a light cotton non stretch fabric.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lm6wn4LYr5w/Tarm9MZacWI/AAAAAAAADzo/gAXIn59Kyb4/s1600/DSCN2086.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lm6wn4LYr5w/Tarm9MZacWI/AAAAAAAADzo/gAXIn59Kyb4/s640/DSCN2086.JPG" width="444" /></a></div><br />
I added some extra width to the waist and bottom cuffs, as the fabric was not stretchy.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wQkwbGK1S1w/TarpnYPLjtI/AAAAAAAADyU/fcg2RLJ0Ibk/s1600/DSCN2088.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wQkwbGK1S1w/TarpnYPLjtI/AAAAAAAADyU/fcg2RLJ0Ibk/s640/DSCN2088.JPG" width="344" /></a></div><br />
These are super easy to make and super comfy to wear.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ffjSsEMarKg/TarqIoql57I/AAAAAAAADy0/_zXnH20G5wE/s1600/DSCN2090.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ffjSsEMarKg/TarqIoql57I/AAAAAAAADy0/_zXnH20G5wE/s640/DSCN2090.JPG" width="508" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qwVBX8lmWAw/TarsCw8St2I/AAAAAAAADzE/1mej7XG8uY8/s1600/DSCN2091.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qwVBX8lmWAw/TarsCw8St2I/AAAAAAAADzE/1mej7XG8uY8/s640/DSCN2091.JPG" width="338" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-k0lx8-L0GF8/TarsMqoQ3zI/AAAAAAAADzg/INb5GIoUvhI/s1600/DSCN2092.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-k0lx8-L0GF8/TarsMqoQ3zI/AAAAAAAADzg/INb5GIoUvhI/s640/DSCN2092.JPG" width="438" /></a></div><br />
<br />
Also great for jumping in. What do you think of harem pants, good for adults or just kiddies?</div>Emerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15593168106163100830noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8912196534936651206.post-81228919650684440202011-04-10T05:31:00.000-07:002011-04-10T05:31:29.952-07:00Flea Market Finds<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">Suddenly a Sunday doesn't feel like a Sunday unless it involves visiting a flea or a car boot Sale. Today was no exception, and I picked up some lovely Meakin pottery.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pOb1Rq4HQjk/TZYARyIbsfI/AAAAAAAADkU/g8O7UggMjS4/s1600/DSCN1937.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="494" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pOb1Rq4HQjk/TZYARyIbsfI/AAAAAAAADkU/g8O7UggMjS4/s640/DSCN1937.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
The first piece is a great Poppy pattern teapot, only 2.50, hidden away at the back of a shelf.<br />
<br />
Then I found this dinner service.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iGqLYHOH_mg/TYh7n1-p-lI/AAAAAAAADR4/9O7mLeZn5I8/s1600/DSCN1920.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iGqLYHOH_mg/TYh7n1-p-lI/AAAAAAAADR4/9O7mLeZn5I8/s640/DSCN1920.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
Its not quite complete, but it includes a gorgeous teapot and coffee pot.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CvrTTP6v1zo/TYh7kzp-III/AAAAAAAADRg/nb-HvAlPP24/s1600/DSCN1922.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CvrTTP6v1zo/TYh7kzp-III/AAAAAAAADRg/nb-HvAlPP24/s640/DSCN1922.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
The pattern is Dragon of Kowloon, and its dated from early 70's. I'm liking the colours of this set, and all for only a tenner.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VAMHZ9_jEfc/TYh7nCF7R7I/AAAAAAAADRs/8ENjo9nP76g/s1600/DSCN1921.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VAMHZ9_jEfc/TYh7nCF7R7I/AAAAAAAADRs/8ENjo9nP76g/s640/DSCN1921.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />

Time for a new Spring top.<br />
I used my latest vintage pattern find, its from 1979, and only cost 50c.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ss7qbwu3sHc/TZYDpOSa-_I/AAAAAAAADnw/GMmtPsxI1fk/s1600/DSCN1941.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ss7qbwu3sHc/TZYDpOSa-_I/AAAAAAAADnw/GMmtPsxI1fk/s640/DSCN1941.JPG" width="480" /></a></div><br />
I made the view with the short sleeves. I had to alter it slightly.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PmGb63KLwxg/TZYj1pxQ3cI/AAAAAAAADnc/xo-7_sEKjxg/s1600/01042011223.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PmGb63KLwxg/TZYj1pxQ3cI/AAAAAAAADnc/xo-7_sEKjxg/s640/01042011223.jpg" width="478" /></a></div><br />
I put a zip in the back instead of buttons, cos I still cant do a buttonhole. And its driving me mad. The pattern was too large also and the sleeves were huge when I first attached them. So seam ripper was used to take them out, and I cut them smaller and re-attached them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pb0cMcmjp5c/TZYj5Kj4HhI/AAAAAAAADnM/rU8yVEqlSmc/s1600/01042011224.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pb0cMcmjp5c/TZYj5Kj4HhI/AAAAAAAADnM/rU8yVEqlSmc/s640/01042011224.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><br />
<br />
The fabric was last used <a href="http://madebyemer.blogspot.com/2011/03/vintage-60s-blouse.html">here</a>, I didnt add the bow on the front I just used some self bias binding. Will I wear it, thats the question? Or will it end up in the pile of unworn items I've made, only time will tell.<br />
<br />
</div>Emerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15593168106163100830noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8912196534936651206.post-91754979858897122552011-03-15T05:33:00.000-07:002011-03-15T05:47:36.468-07:00Tailoring sewalong<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">I'll be taking part in a tailoring sewalong, which takes place <a href="http://buzzybeesworld.blogspot.com/2011/03/who-wants-to-do-tailoring-sewalong.html">here</a>. Lately its been on my mind to be able to make a nice jacket.<br />
<br />
I'm thinking of using either of these vintage patterns.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-a5ORrkoapas/TK3H3PSWydI/AAAAAAAAA8A/B44u182yHbU/s1600/DSCN0561.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-a5ORrkoapas/TK3H3PSWydI/AAAAAAAAA8A/B44u182yHbU/s640/DSCN0561.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
Liking the long one but it has no buttons, only a belt.<br />
<br />
Then there is this short one. I love this one but it might be bit too big for me.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-acBU60-UEJg/TX3JrlxaG6I/AAAAAAAADJ0/shIIvJHCGYI/s1600/DSCN1879.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-acBU60-UEJg/TX3JrlxaG6I/AAAAAAAADJ0/shIIvJHCGYI/s640/DSCN1879.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
Think it would be really cute with the dress also. Now must check out the local flea for some nice fabric. if you feel like doing the sewalong, check it <a href="http://buzzybeesworld.blogspot.com/">out</a>. If you have any thoughts on which pattern I should use please jump in!<br />

This week I am making a baby quilt.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-bsgTT-yreyM/TXifFiBsEtI/AAAAAAAADEA/b8-YHGHCvms/s1600/DSCN1853.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="500" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-bsgTT-yreyM/TXifFiBsEtI/AAAAAAAADEA/b8-YHGHCvms/s640/DSCN1853.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Its for a boy, and I've used the last of my Paddington Bear fabric, which is pretty cool. I appliqued a little gingham elephant onto it.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-bQp-hF7LzDU/TXifgaEA4UI/AAAAAAAADDw/dWjb7r4vscc/s1600/DSCN1854.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-bQp-hF7LzDU/TXifgaEA4UI/AAAAAAAADDw/dWjb7r4vscc/s640/DSCN1854.JPG" width="554" /></a></div>
<br />
Its pinned to the wadding & the backing , ready to be quilted. I will be adding binding to it made from <a href="http://www.burdastyle.com/techniques/making-bias-binding">this</a> great tutorial from Burdastyle, and using the rest of the blue stripey fabric. Its the best tutorial ever on making continuous bias tape.<br />

I used a vintage pattern, which looks like its from the sixties. I made view A with short sleeves.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-sSNfv_riDBM/TXZHCxNt6KI/AAAAAAAAC9U/iOPyf12glhg/s1600/DSCN1840.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-sSNfv_riDBM/TXZHCxNt6KI/AAAAAAAAC9U/iOPyf12glhg/s640/DSCN1840.JPG" width="422" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I seem to have a thing for tunics, I think they look great with jeans or leggings. I'm not really a skirt kind of girl.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/--KbMcyNv990/TXZY1RcMPCI/AAAAAAAAC-g/3cF2Dl1JR3o/s1600/DSCN1842.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/--KbMcyNv990/TXZY1RcMPCI/AAAAAAAAC-g/3cF2Dl1JR3o/s640/DSCN1842.JPG" width="386" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
The fabric was amazing to work with. Think it might be a cotton voile, not linen as I first thought.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-_C5Ad1JTbPE/TXZZHWdf1AI/AAAAAAAAC-w/SAd3FQpLO7w/s1600/DSCN1844.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-_C5Ad1JTbPE/TXZZHWdf1AI/AAAAAAAAC-w/SAd3FQpLO7w/s640/DSCN1844.JPG" width="390" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-kqQGc8VEjBU/TXZZIlNDsYI/AAAAAAAAC-8/bsKvE1-xgzg/s1600/DSCN1843.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-kqQGc8VEjBU/TXZZIlNDsYI/AAAAAAAAC-8/bsKvE1-xgzg/s640/DSCN1843.JPG" width="628" /></a></div><br />
<br />
I am very happy with the result .Its really comfortable to wear, and the pattern was super easy too. I am thinking next time I might lengthen it and add pockets to make a dress. Will be on the look out for some more tasty vintage fabrics.</div>Emerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15593168106163100830noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8912196534936651206.post-19790146861839723282011-02-27T12:26:00.000-08:002011-02-27T12:26:03.180-08:00Flea Market Finds<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">This week I found some really cute patterns.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-HBwUVcKuuSw/TWpsF3xzgwI/AAAAAAAACyk/PNmUpeErFyA/s1600/DSCN1784.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-HBwUVcKuuSw/TWpsF3xzgwI/AAAAAAAACyk/PNmUpeErFyA/s640/DSCN1784.JPG" width="444" /></a></div><br />
I'm liking the pintucks on the front, as I have never tried them before.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-djSE8ZFvUMw/TWptq1oqkVI/AAAAAAAACxU/V8gvWWKPzlk/s1600/DSCN1785.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-djSE8ZFvUMw/TWptq1oqkVI/AAAAAAAACxU/V8gvWWKPzlk/s640/DSCN1785.JPG" width="480" /></a></div><br />
<br />
These 4 girls patterns just happened to be all in my daughters size. I like them all.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-cgls9DOGsps/TWpxLLLFs4I/AAAAAAAACyU/4b-6CeiRJtk/s1600/DSCN1786.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-cgls9DOGsps/TWpxLLLFs4I/AAAAAAAACyU/4b-6CeiRJtk/s640/DSCN1786.JPG" width="402" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div>These ones remind me of dresses I used to wear to school, way back when.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-2KE7-2fsIco/TWp1Joifo9I/AAAAAAAACx0/ZSAA0EYOBrc/s1600/DSCN1788.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-2KE7-2fsIco/TWp1Joifo9I/AAAAAAAACx0/ZSAA0EYOBrc/s640/DSCN1788.JPG" width="402" /></a></div><br />
<br />
This pattern is my favorite I think it will look so cute for a beach dress.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-JghMfwQ6k7o/TWpzwqdy1MI/AAAAAAAACyA/AOSclTnd91Y/s1600/DSCN1787.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-JghMfwQ6k7o/TWpzwqdy1MI/AAAAAAAACyA/AOSclTnd91Y/s640/DSCN1787.JPG" width="424" /></a></div><br />
After all that pattern finding I found some nice vintage buttons.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-GLjmFO55PNs/TWpvPHBHwFI/AAAAAAAACvc/0Ol0yAviFjg/s1600/DSCN1796.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-GLjmFO55PNs/TWpvPHBHwFI/AAAAAAAACvc/0Ol0yAviFjg/s640/DSCN1796.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
I also found some make your own buttons. They look pretty, and quite easy to make also. And, as it says on the packet, they cannot rust. Check out lots more finds over <a href="http://herlibraryadventures.blogspot.com/2011/02/flea-market-finds_27.html">here</a>. Happy hunting.<br />

The days are getting longer, it's not so cold anymore.<br />
<br />
Tiny little buds are beginning to appear among the hedges, you can see them if you look closely.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-M9MEk7Kw8NU/TWPmxchwiII/AAAAAAAACnA/i8TRtVX_ZhQ/s1600/DSCN1698.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-M9MEk7Kw8NU/TWPmxchwiII/AAAAAAAACnA/i8TRtVX_ZhQ/s640/DSCN1698.JPG" width="480" /></a></div><br />
The little wood is starting to look somewhat more greener.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9RcM2J75Azs/TWPv7ESpOHI/AAAAAAAACno/m4JVnTxrJdc/s1600/DSCN1693.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9RcM2J75Azs/TWPv7ESpOHI/AAAAAAAACno/m4JVnTxrJdc/s640/DSCN1693.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3euS3S8IYnk/TWPmz6E9GII/AAAAAAAACmU/7cmwCVSFDlc/s1600/DSCN1704.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3euS3S8IYnk/TWPmz6E9GII/AAAAAAAACmU/7cmwCVSFDlc/s640/DSCN1704.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<br />
Some cute little shoots growing from an old wall.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Pu9jk2bDUIE/TWPmzPwaM8I/AAAAAAAACmQ/eODzY0HFLpk/s1600/DSCN1711.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Pu9jk2bDUIE/TWPmzPwaM8I/AAAAAAAACmQ/eODzY0HFLpk/s640/DSCN1711.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<br />
And every day is like Spring if you're a dog. Love is in the air I think.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-anvNRn_o3gc/TWPv7tLDFwI/AAAAAAAACoU/zAoVQPnrsc4/s1600/DSCN1695.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="522" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-anvNRn_o3gc/TWPv7tLDFwI/AAAAAAAACoU/zAoVQPnrsc4/s640/DSCN1695.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />

Hope its getting more Spring- like where ever you are too.</div>Emerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15593168106163100830noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8912196534936651206.post-32082641863859597642011-02-14T03:30:00.000-08:002011-02-14T03:31:49.114-08:00Flea Market Finds<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">Todays finds involve loads of lovely fabric and a nice pattern.<br />
There is about 5 meters of this for 4 euro.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IzLsKyQmGdM/TVkM2PNCotI/AAAAAAAACdM/nxPKn8bbWTg/s1600/DSCN1648.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IzLsKyQmGdM/TVkM2PNCotI/AAAAAAAACdM/nxPKn8bbWTg/s640/DSCN1648.JPG" width="498" /></a></div><br />
Its has a nice drape, its kind of floaty, and a bit lineny, if you know what I mean.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-y_dYZQ-bfhk/TVkM29prVjI/AAAAAAAACc8/_y1xLCD0C-w/s1600/DSCN1649.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="428" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-y_dYZQ-bfhk/TVkM29prVjI/AAAAAAAACc8/_y1xLCD0C-w/s640/DSCN1649.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
The I found a cute little shirt dress pattern for 1 euro.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Yt-RP476ZYU/TVkM0W0CLpI/AAAAAAAACd4/Wu4FIXPXHRg/s1600/DSCN1643.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Yt-RP476ZYU/TVkM0W0CLpI/AAAAAAAACd4/Wu4FIXPXHRg/s640/DSCN1643.JPG" width="518" /></a></div><br />
I like the drape on the sleeves, and it has button loops on the front, instead of button holes.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TPFG32xDEUc/TVkM1LhDJHI/AAAAAAAACek/G0awbSBnTOA/s1600/DSCN1645.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TPFG32xDEUc/TVkM1LhDJHI/AAAAAAAACek/G0awbSBnTOA/s640/DSCN1645.JPG" width="404" /></a></div><br />
