Clare Weekend

We spent an amazing weekend by the banks of Lough Derg in Co Clare.  The sun shone and we kind of fell in love with this place.

We stopped at a beautiful little town called Mountshannon, there was a cute little Marina there filled with fancy yachts.

Anna enjoyed playing in the grounds of an old castle.

Someone was very artistic here with this old bicycle display, very quaint.

These two locals were very friendly.

The daisies also were coming out to play.

Since we were in the campervan a bonfire was obligatory.

Here's to more weekends away...

Irish Castle

On Sunday on the way back from the flea market we decided to stop at Tullynally Castle. Its a magnificent place. After a long walk up the castle drive we were greeted by this.

The sun was just setting so the light was amazing.

There's a walled garden.

And a pagoda.

Even a family of Llama's and a crocodile.

I loved the colour of this gate.

Last, but not least the forbidden apple.

We plan on returning in the Summer for the castle tour.

Achill Island

We spent last weekend here in Achill. Its on the West coast of Ireland. And it has to be one of the nicest beaches in the country.

There is a magical mountain, and a long sandy beach. Lots of surfers go there, cos it gets pretty windy. Mazy and Anna had fun running up and down the strand for 2 days....

Go there if you get the chance I guarantee you'd love it.

Holidays

I've been away, hence the lack of posting.  We had a very hectic road trip across Europe to attend a family wedding in Poland.

We went in the camper, lots of ferries and lots of driving.  That's me and Anna in Prague, beautiful city. Have to say that even though I was exhausted on return I just cannot wait to go again.
