Finished Quilt

Finished the quilt I was very happy with how the binding turned out, all the corners were perfect.

I am not mad about the colours though, I really used all my scraps. I was trying to pick masculine colours, though not sure I succeeded very well.

I do like the blue gingham border, I think it brings the quilt together in a blue sort of way.

I am going to gift it this weekend. And even though all my squares don't match up there was a lot of love put into it. Its for my Dad after all.

My Creative Space

This week I am playing along here.

Its a quilt for my Dad.

I have the top done. Each block is 7 inches in size. The quilt has been on my list of things to get started for ages. I plan to add some dark green sashing all around.

And then I only have to quilt it and add the binding, not my favorite part. This is the biggest quilt I've ever done, it will be 50 X 60 when done, so the quilting should be interesting. I hope he will like the colours.

Vintage Pattern

I planned to get this dress finished for Christmas, but unfortunately didn't have the time. Today I finally hemmed it. Only two weeks late. Its a sixties pattern, it has princess seams, which I love.

I made view H, but with sleeves.

The dress had a really low v-neck which was gaping after I had finished it. So I made an alteration in the shoulder seams, and now the neck sits flat.

The fabric is fabulous Liberty of London, and it cost me next to nothing. I hope to wear this when weather improves.
