Patchwork cushion

Lately I've been quilting a lot. As a total beginner I have discovered a great blog all about quilting. She has loads of tutorials that are pretty easy to follow. This is one I made from one of her great tuts.

Its called mad mosaic floor cushion. And I like it, cos its meant to be wonky.

These are my 4 squares.

I used a dark coloured sashing to join my squares.

I did not quilt the back of the cushion, as I guess I just got lazy.

So if you're looking for some quilting inspiration check out Oh Fransson, you'll like it, I promise.

  1. Hello, Thank you so much for the lovely comment.
You cushion is stunning. I'm terrible at sewing so I am always amazed at the talented sewers out there. It's even more amazing to say that you are a beginner.

  2. Hi I am happy you like it. It was taking a very long time to make.

  3. I love the colours, shapes and the fabric choice!

  4. Thanks Golem, its vintage fabric I used.

  5. That cushion is gorgeous! The fabric choice is amazing and I especially like the effect it gained with the dark burgundy ribbon!

  6. It's lovely! I like the framing effect. I will have to check out the OhFransson tute, I'd really like to make something like this next.
Thanks for your nice comment on my quilt :o)
